Cam Speedy - Ecologist, Conservationist, Sika Expert, and Hunter

Cam Speedy would have to be one of the most knowledgable individuals we have spoken too since we started the podcast over two years ago. When it comes to deer, natural systems, native Flora, native Forna, non-native species, ecological systems, animal management, and conservation in New Zealand Cam is full of a wealth of knowledge. The combination of boots on the ground experience combined with an academic foundation built over a lifetime of work and learning is a rare thing in this day and age. Enjoy this wide-ranging conversation covering everything from the Central North Island Sika Foundation, deer management, Fiordland Wapiti, and the importance of managing systems in New Zealand. Cam Speedy has a deep understanding and respect for our Whenua and is such an asset moving forward.

“Wisdom is made up of knowledge and experience, the multiplier being the experience”

It provides a platform where like-minded individuals can come together and solve real issues in a constructive manner, working together and focusing their collective passion for fixing something rather than just talking about it.
